Johannes Christiaan (b2) Heyneke and Johanna Elizabeth Thomasse were married on 23 November 1788 in Cape Town (VDK) South Africa. (The VDK means “van die Kaap” which indicates they were “non white” generally slaves, freed slaves or children of slaves. According to HF Heese in “Groep Sonder Grense” Johanna Elizabeth was the daughter of Christiaan Thomas VDK.)
